We help Tasmanian schools, businesses, and government agencies unlock their potential by connecting their people and their customers, protecting their networks and data, and adopting cloud technology.

TasmaNet has been delivering innovative digital solutions for small business, enterprise, and government customers since 2004. What began with a group of mates interested in radio and data connectivity has evolved into a skilled and dedicated team focused on crafting creative solutions to interesting problems often overlooked by the one-size-fits-all approach of our larger competitors:

  • We built a wireless data network connecting 85% of the Tasmanian population and some of the most remote parts of the state. Now our networking expertise enables Huon Aquaculture’s world-leading remote smart feeding system and sustainable offshore salmon farming.
  • We built the first privately owned data centre in the state and the innovative TasmaNet Core private cloud platform. Now we are the largest provider of cloud services to the Tasmanian state government as a trusted partner and appointed Networking Tasmania provider.
  • We connected the first nbn™ Enterprise Ethernet service in Australia and are one of a handful of nbn providers in the country accredited to offer this transformational product delivering superfast symmetrical speeds up to 1 Gbps over dedicated fibre. Now we use our direct relationship with NBN Co to help close the connectivity divide by bringing dependable high-speed data, voice, and networking services to schools and businesses around the country.

The same world-class fibre connectivity our customers love now allows us to deliver Internet, networking, data protection, and cloud services across Australia from our base at the Tasmanian Technopark in Hobart. What hasn’t changed is our commitment to understanding and exceeding customer expectations.

“Enterprise Ethernet was a logical choice for MyTyreSite. I’ve got 15 people relying on good connectivity and every outage is a loss to the business, so being able to get a single pipeline means we no longer have to share our connection. We opted to start with a smaller pipeline and I see us upgrading that pipeline as the business grows.” Jared Mendham, GM, MyTyreSite.com.au

“As a school, we place a high focus on STEM and 21st century skills. Having a fast reliable Internet connection is of paramount importance to this. Enterprise Ethernet gives us a better class of connection and a cheaper price than we currently have.” Tim Innes-Brown, Director of ICT, St Michael’s Collegiate School
