YOUR TASMANIAN FLY FISHING ADVENTURE
Enjoy some of the best river and wilderness fly fishing that Tasmania has to offer.
Our specialties are sight-fishing for wild trout, wilderness guiding, and teaching beginners. Rafting or wading, large rivers or small streams – the choice is yours.
RiverFly 1864 guides keep you safe, guide you to the best spots, and help you select the best flies to tempt the most discerning trout. Single-day or multiple-day guided fishing bookings and beginner or advanced anglers catered for.
RiverFly 1864 guides will lead you onto wild brown and rainbow trout among the famous Tasmanian midland streams, or along more remote rainforest rivers. Venues include Brumbys Creek, the South Esk and North Esk rivers, St Patricks River, Meander and Mersey rivers.
RiverFly also runs Tasmania’s first licenced Western Lakes guiding operation. We operate in this world-class sightfishing region, known for its flats-style fishing for brown trout. Stay in our remote private huts, located in the Tasmanian World Heritage Area, right next to the Walls of Jerusalem National Park.
RiverFly 1864 is a 2016 Qantas Australian Tourism Award Winner, and 2016 & 2017 Tasmanian Tourism Award Winner
