The following precautions aim to provide a safe environment for our staff and customers. We strongly recommend that our guests travel with the COVID Safe phone app. (We do not encourage you to take phones on the raft due to the risk of damage or loss) • All guests will be required to supply their name and a phone number or email contact. • Anyone that has travelled overseas, (excluding New Zealand) or been in contact with a person with COVID 19 in the last 14 days, or shows signs & symptoms of being unwell will not be allowed to come rafting and will be given a full refund. • Guests may be subject to temperature checks and be expected to comply if requested. • Guests showing signs of being unwell during the trip may be requested to wear a supplied face mask
King River Rafting are Tasmania’s one day wilderness rafting specialists. From Queenstown we run trips on the King River through a deep west coast gorge. Between the river and the rainforested sides of the gorge Huon Pine line the banks. The rapids are fun and exciting and the trip suitable for anyone of an average fitness. (Min age 10 yrs)
Choose between catching the West Coast Wilderness Railway back to Queenstown (King River Gorge Raft & Steam Experience) or continuing on to the King River mouth at Macquarie Harbour, (King for the Day)
We also offer half day flat water trips in the placid middle King Gorge. Paddle an inflatable double kayak upstream to explore this secret place at your own pace.
All trips include rafts, all the gear, guides, and food and fees as required. A photo USB is available to order.
