Base Camp Tasmania (BCT) is a 41-hectare bush property in south-eastern Tasmania, situated in Glenfern in the Derwent Valley, approximately 13 km south-west of New Norfolk and 50 km from Hobart.

Where Tasmania’s unique wildlife abounds

A Protected Area on Private Land (PAPL – subject to a Conservation Covenant), BCT abounds in native Tasmanian wildlife (we are registered Wildlife Carers) including Pademelons, Bennetts Wallabies, Echidnas, Wombats, Spotted Quolls, and Brushtail Possums.  The Conservation Covenant confers the status of a privately owned national park on 37 hectares of BCT, which is protected in perpetuity.
